How to Discover your Creative Passion

WHY YOU NEED A CREATIVE OUTLET

Do you ever find yourself in need of an escape? It’s safe to say that boredom kills- your creative flow.

Tapping into the right-brain from time to time, is scientifically proven to improve your overall health. Who doesn’t want to improve their brain function, mental, and physical health? So let’s become happier, and smarter on our own, without any fad trend that will just be a short term fix.

I get it. Right now you might be saying the classic line I hear… “I can only draw a stick figure.” Okay, so you can draw a stick figure, good. Now let's build on that, because I not only believe but I KNOW that everyone can improve their art skills with effort.

You can not only draw and paint, but you can do anything you desire to learn or improve on.

There’s an endless list. Drawing, painting, collage, photography, knitting, jewelry making, digital art, collage, writing, and abstract art, are only SOME of the possibilities.

Let me show you how to discover which one(s) are for you!

HOW TO ACCESS YOUR HIDDEN CREATIVE TALENT

“I don’t know what to make” -Another famous line by the non creative believer

Really don’t know at least what medium [the type of art material(s) you will be using] to explore with? Then look through my Pinterest board of art inspiration to see what catches your eye.

There are so many options on where to buy your craft material. From a local craft store near you, Blickart.com, or Amazon, purchase what's a necessity and affordable for you.

Get your space to be accessible with supplies, clean, & then set your vibe. Open the window for some natural light, tell Alexa to play your favorite playlist. BAM! I hope your creative flow just got in the mood to come out and play. See, that wasn’t so hard!

Nowadays, with the endless inspiration our instagram explore page alone gives us, it's almost impossible not to be influenced. I feel everything around us has an impact on our creative senses.

Stimulation is everywhere, in the sky- especially when the sun is setting, in your closet full of clothes you forgot about, or all the people you see while on your daily walk. Left and right we are flooded with new ideas, so let's put some of them in action.

PRACTICE MAKES BETTER & BETTER MAKES PERFECT

After figuring out what materials you want to work with, hopefully you went to your local arts & craft store, or Amazon to obtain all the needed materials.

I believe starting out with less, equals more. A simple project is exactly what you need to get yourself opened up to the endless possibilities. Van Gogh's first painting wasn't Starry Night, afterall.

Even if you get yourself to learn one little step on how to paint or craft something everyday, that's more than enough. Each small step you teach yourself will add up.

Think of it as an investment for yourself. From buying the art materials, to spending time working on your craft. The benefits of the outcome are what makes it worth your while.

I will be doing tutorials for drawing and painting, coming soon. I want to guide you in your mission to make art. While art is mostly an independent hobby, you don’t have to start off completely alone.

I hope you are brainstorming about what you can create. You truly never know what you’re capable of until you try (with some consistency) of course!
